Agomoni Seattle

Agomoni Seattle is a nonprofit, cultural, tax exempt organization registered under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal revenue code of 1954, involved in promoting Bengali culture in the Western Washington region. Agomoni Seattle was founded in 2019 and run by an elected Executive Committee with a goal to create a positive and enjoyable environment to nurture friendship, festivals, and harmony via Bengali heritage. 


Although Agomoni Seattle is a Bengali member based organization, we welcome everyone to become members. Agomoni Seattle provides an opportunity for our children to gain knowledge about the Bengali cultures and traditions through various literary, social, and cultural events year round. Agomoni Seattle organizes qty (6) regular events each year:

  •     Saraswati Puja (January)

  •     Members Appreciation day (Annual Picnic, June)

  •     Durga Puja (September)

Vision

Agomoni Seattle wants to evolve as an organization that can make palpable difference to the community it is embedded within the American and the Bengali community. An isolated organization can only survive, hardly contribute. Agomoni Seattle aspires to transform into a social and cultural crucible that respects and embraces profusions of cultural and religious traditions, promote creative growth and extends help and support to the underprivileged.

Mission

Agomoni Seattle primary mission is to take an active role in serving the needs of the local Bengali and American Community - socially, culturally and charitably and thereby help developing the community. Agomoni Seattle encourages younger generations to become responsible citizens – respectful of their roots and heritage. Our other objective is to support the noble causes of social and educational organizations in America.

To nurture and cherish the spiritual, cultural and social heritage of Bengal and embrace all communities in the spirit of harmony and unanimity. Agomoni Seattle’s mission is to foster and promote cultural, charitable, religious and educational activities for its members, and create a positive and enjoyable experience of friendship, happiness, and harmony via Bengali heritage.
